Tracy Chevalier

Tracy Chevalier grew up in Washington, DC. After graduating from Oberlin College, she moved to London, where she still lives with her husband and son. She worked for a few years as a reference book editor before leaving office life to do an MA in creative writing. She has written four novels, including The Lady and the Unicorn, Falling Angels, The Virgin Blue, and the international bestseller Girl with a Pearl Earring, which was made into a film starring Scarlett Johansson and Colin Firth. Her fifth novel, on the painter and poet William Blake, will be published in early 2007.
